28th February 2018
Dear parents and carers,
After lengthy discussions with local schools and following Met Office advice and supporting information from RAF Odiham, the Infant and Junior Schools have taken the joint decision to close both schools on Thursday 1st March 2018. As with all forecasts there is potential for change but advice is that on the balance of probability, the weather conditions will become severe during tomorrow morning and remain that way until the weekend.
We hope that parents and carers will understand that such decisions are never taken lightly and hope that everyone will appreciate having advance notice of the closure of both schools tomorrow in order to make any personal arrangements that may be necessary.
A decision about whether both schools will be open on Friday 2nd March will be taken tomorrow once we have reviewed updated forecasts and suitable health and safety judgements have been made.
Information for parents will be shared with you through our normal communication routes by text message, the Hampshire School Closures website and the Infant School and Junior School websites.
Thank you for your support,
Mrs M Walker, Headteacher, Hook Infant School
Mrs L Martin, Headteacher, Hook Junior School

World Book Day
We will be rescheduling World Book Day where the children will be able to come to school dressed as their favourite book character and will inform you of the date as soon as possible.
