Newsletter 4 December 2020

The Christmas Countdown continues…
It has been a mammoth task but flu immunisations took place on Tuesday for the whole school (if a consent form was completed online in advance via the NHS website link).
  • In Year 2 this week cakes have been baked and are now being decorated. Christmas productions have started to be filmed, thank you for the costumes you have provided. Children have also become creative with clay, we hope you will enjoy seeing their masterpieces at the end of term.
  • Some cheeky class elves have been up to mischief. The office elf has been stockpiling the toilet rolls just in case! We hope the children are telling you all about their class elf and its elf antics.
  • Year 2 children have taken their delayed Phonics screening test this week. Hopefully the children will remember the biscuit treat after rather than the special work itself. We will report on the test results as soon as we are able.
  • This weekend staff are going party food and treat shopping so thank you to everyone who has been making the £5 payment for the Christmas Extravaganza. Payments can still be made online via your Parentmail app, then following the link to “your purchases” and then “shop”. An over the phone card payment can also be taken by calling the school office between 9am and 3pm. Thank you for your support and generosity.
  • Please support your HSPA, details of their Online Christmas Raffle can be found on page 2 of this newsletter. We are also very grateful to the HSPA team who will be providing a little bit of Christmas magic for all your children.
  • Firepit experiences are taking place next week so please ensure that your children have extra layers and can wrap up warm.
We are very excited to be bringing you the first ever HSPA Online Christmas Raffle. We would normally hold our Christmas raffle during the Christmas fair, but as we have been unable to hold the fair this year, we thought we would still bring you our raffle with fantas-tic prizes to be won.
