Miss Abi Morgan
Headteacher
With more than 20 years’ experience in education and Headship since 2018, I am proud to have joined Hook Infant School as Headteacher in September 2026. I am passionate about providing a nurturing, inclusive and ambitious education where every child can flourish.
As Headteacher, I work closely with the Governing Body and provide regular updates on all aspects of school life, including safeguarding, finance, staffing, attendance, the curriculum, buildings and premises, and the overall quality of education. I firmly believe that strong partnerships between staff, parents, governors and the wider community are central to a successful school. By working together, we can create the best possible opportunities for every child to thrive, develop confidence and enjoy their learning journey.
At the heart of my leadership is a commitment to ensuring Hook Infant School is a happy, safe and welcoming place where every child feels valued, cared for and encouraged to shine.
Mrs Alison Collier
Chair of Governors; Chair of Resources Committee
I have lived in Hook with my husband since 1995 and joined Hook Infant School as a Parent Governor in 2002, when my daughter was in Year 2. I now serve as a Co-opted Governor. Previously Secretary at Hook Village Nursery, I brought a strong interest in my daughter’s education and activities to the role. For the past 24 years, I have worked for a global IT company in finance and, more recently, as an Operations Manager. This has equipped me with a broad range of business skills, which I am keen to apply, alongside my commitment to continuous learning, to support the school’s vision and goals.
Mrs Corrinne Kinge
Local Education Authority Governor; Resources Committee
I have lived in Hook since 1982, later raising my own family here, and have a longstanding commitment to the village and its schools. My involvement in education began as a parent helper before I became a governor at Hook Infant School in 1996. I have since served as Chair for approximately four years and Vice Chair for over twenty years, including supporting the school through two Outstanding Ofsted inspections. I have also been seconded by the Local Authority to chair the governing bodies of two local schools requiring governance support and spent seven years as a PTA member at my daughters’ secondary school. My family connection to Hook Infant School continues, with both of my grandchildren having attended the school. Professionally, I have spent most of my career in Human Resources and currently work locally as an HR Manager. My experience in people management, organisational development, communication and learning and development complements my governance experience and my commitment to making a positive contribution to local education.
Mrs Kathryn Sloane
Safeguarding Governor, GDPR, Chair of Charitable Trust, Curriculum Committee
I joined the board of Governors in September 2020, as a Parent Governor, when my oldest child was in Year 2. Having attended Hook Infant School myself, we decided as a family to return to Hook when it was time for our own children to start school. All three of our children have attended the school and over this time I have seen how hard the school works to educate our children. I was keen to bring my professional experience in forecasting and strategic planning to help the school in achieving its aims.
Mrs Rachael Harding
Chair of Curriculum Committee; Mental Health Lead; SEND Governor
I moved back to Hook with my family in 2022 and was delighted to join the board as a co-opted governor at Hook Infant School, which I myself attended many years ago.
I enjoy contributing to school life in any way I can, especially reading with the children and supporting school trips. I chair the Curriculum Committee, particularly enjoying working with subject leads and the SENDCo, and am passionate about high-quality training supporting both teachers and the children in their classes.
A former school leader and Advanced Skills Teacher for English, Literacy and SEND, I established and led a SCITT in London training new teachers and providing CPD across a large network of schools. I hold an MA in the History of Education and a PGCE in English, Media and Drama; I review schools in my current role, appreciating visiting a vast range of institutions across the independent and state sectors.
Mr Daniel McMillan
Co-opted Governor
I moved to Hook in 2020 with my wife and two daughters, both attend Hook Infants and have learned so much and thrived since joining the school.
I have worked in governmental roles for most of my career having varied experience from performance management, managing social work and health teams for those with a learning disability. I am now a senior change delivery consultant, leading on organisational change projects for a unitary authority.
I volunteered as a Governor so I could use my experience to support not only the children who attend Hook Infants, but the staff, parents and the local community who have been so kind and welcoming to my family since we moved here.
I have been a Governor since 2023 and look forward to continuing my time with the school.
Miss Annabel Taylor
Staff Governor
I have taught at Hook Infant School since September 2023 and I also completed my final teaching practice for my degree here too. I trained and completed my Primary Education degree with QTS in Southwest London and I have been lucky enough to teach in a range of schools whilst studying. I specialised in Early Years in my final year which gave me a deeper insight into how to support learning through play. I've always known that I wanted to be a teacher and I have thoroughly enjoyed the start of my teaching career so far. In my free time, I love spending time with family and friends as well as going out to watch football.
Mr Daniel Wright
Vice Chair of Governors
I moved to Hook in 2017, and my wife and I now raise our young family here. I am entrepreneurially minded having founded, built and sold a consultancy company which specialised in technology led change. Due to this, I have experience implementing positive change across a wide range of organisations including charities, private sector companies, and governmental organisations. I volunteered to be a governor in 2025 when my son joined the school, as my daughter hopefully will, and I aspire to support the school and engage deeper into the local community through this role.
Mrs Sarah Matthias
I moved to Hook in September 2024 having brought up 4 children in central London. Formerly a barrister and senior lecturer in Law at the University of Westminster, I was a governor for 6 years at City of London Primary Academy, Islington – one of 11 schools in City of London Academies Trust. In addition to governor duties, I volunteered weekly helping with literacy and maths. I am a published author of four novels, 3 children’s and one adult novel. I currently work for a charity, Southern African Conservation Trust, as part of their creative educational team, writing comics about conservation for children in rural communities in southern Africa, where I travel widely visiting schools. I thoroughly enjoyed my years as a primary school governor in London and I am keen to use my skills to help children achieve their full potential in Hampshire.
Mr Dominic Wollam
Having moved to Hook in 2020, I joined the governing body in 2025 following my daughter starting at the School. I am an Actuary by training and currently work in Risk & Compliance in an International Savings and Investment Company. My driver for becoming a governor is the importance I place on education and the role that parents and schools have in providing the best environment possible. Given my roles within Risk & Compliance, I have experience in providing independent challenge to help achieve the right outcomes with this being a skill I will look to employ as a Governor.
Mr Justin Scott
Curriculum Committee
I joined the board of governors in 2025 after moving back to Hook in 2023. I’m a father of four, including twins who went through Hook Infant and Junior School and are now in Year 10 at Robert May’s, as well as a six‑year‑old currently enjoying Year 2 at Hook. For the past 20 years, I’ve worked in IT, building high‑performing teams and designing modern technology platforms, with a particular focus on the ServiceNow ecosystem. This experience has led me to my current role as a Senior Architect at a global IT consultancy. I hope to bring the knowledge and insight I’ve gained over two decades to the board of governors and to Hook Infant School — a place that has played a significant role in shaping the early lives of three of my children.
