Flamingo Class Wilder Flash Mob

A Wilder Flash Mob from Flamingo Class tackled the back chippings in the Science Area on Friday 4th November. Recent work by our grounds maintenance team to remove bramble and ivy meant that the weed matting was exposed. Six children had a lesson on tool use and were able to use a micro pickaxe, rakes and trowels to loosen up and move bark chippings to cover the weed matting.

The children had great fun using the tools and also learning how to use and carry them safely. We also found a very large common earthworm, Lumbricus terrestris. See the photos below of the Wilder Flash Mob in action.
